Strangely enough, me too. Larks learning to pray notwithstanding. The Nazis actually had a song called “Edelweiss” long before the fictionalized Captain von Trapp had one. It was the song of the mountain troopers, ending with a rousing “Seig Heil!”
It was the last lyric Oscar Hammerstein ever wrote. Nice way to go out.
