Paul writes, of his recent trip to the area around Paducah, Kentucky:

Two Bald Eagles surveying the scene over their Winter
flyway and nesting ground, Reelfoot Lake, in northwestern Tennessee.   I saw four Bald Eagles that morning.  They are noble birds — all four of them took flight after this photograph
was taken, slicing through the air.  They circled us and then took up
new sentinel positions to the left, on the shore.

I can't believe how big they look . . .
