There seems to be an article a day right now about how men and boys are coming up short, not learning the basics, unable to relate to the opposite sex, etc, due to internet obsession, gaming, and the like.
Browsing through some of Mr Smith’s illustrations, the phrase “self sufficient” comes to mind. Not sure what that means but I get the sense he knew about life, the world, and got his piece of it.
